These adhesive products are carefully engineered to have strong chemical bonding capabilities so the roofing material being applied stays tightly on top. According to industry experts fully adhered refers to when a roofing product such as epdm membrane roofing is glued to a substrate with a commercial grade adhesive. As a result fully adhered roof systems have fastening patterns of 12 24 fasteners per 4 by 8 rigid insulation board far more than the 5 8 fasteners required for mechanically attached roof systems.
